STATE OF CONNECTICUT 1999 BUILDING AND FIRE SAFETY CODES

Note: Effective September 1, 2004 all residential building permits issued after this date shall be constructed under the 2003 International Residential Code along with the 2004 Amendment to the Connecticut Supplement.

The Office of the State Building Inspector and the Office of the State Fire Marshal hereby issue this notice of the Building and Fire Safety Codes that were adopted by the State of Connecticut on May 1, 1999 with the 2004 Amendment to the Connecticut Supplement.

Please call the Office of the State Building Inspector at 860-685-8310 if you have technical questions concerning the Connecticut building codes or the Office of the State Fire Marshal at 860-685-8350 if you have technical questions concerning the Connecticut fire safety codes.

Please note that the Commission on Official Legal Publications cannot answer technical questions concerning the fire/building codes.
