The P&Z Office is open to the public on Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8:30 a.m. — 3 p.m., and Tuesday and Thursday 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Zoning Permits will be issued Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. through 11:30 a.m.

Note: All emails sent to the Planning and Zoning Commission from this Web site are received and reviewed by Laurence Bradley, Planning and Zoning Director. Emails received are added to the file until the close of the public hearing.
The Planning and Zoning Staff is responsible for implementing the zoning regulations adopted by the Westport Planning and Zoning Commission.
The department's mission is:
- to enhance the orderly development of the town
- to maintain the quality of the residential neighborhoods and business districts
- enforcing regulations that protect the town from over-development
This is accomplished with a service-oriented staff that provides active and consistent enforcement in a fair and equitable manner in order to maintain property values.
Staff functions include:
- processing applications and permits
- providing information to the elected members of the Planning and Zoning Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals.
- providing information on land use issues and zoning regulations to the public on a formal and informal basis
The staff is responsible for maintaining a repository of land use information on Westport properties.
