Parking and Handpasses

PARKING EMBLEMS: You will not be receiving an application in the mail. Parking emblems will be available for purchase online beginning March 15, 2010. Walk-in purchases will begin on Monday, March 22,  2010. 

Parking emblems are required for entrance to all town beaches and facilities and are valid May 1 – September 30.  Please be advised that you may need to provide a copy of your current vehicle’s registration if the vehicle was purchased in the last 18 months and not on the current Westport tax records.

HANDPASSES: A Parks and Recreation handpass is a photo identification card for Westport residents, ages 6 and up.  It is required for access to the town’s tennis courts, Longshore pool, program registration and for reduced fees at Longshore Golf Course.  It is non-transferable and valid for one year from date of purchase.  Current handpass holders will receive notification to renew their handpass within 30 days of expiration .  Residents seeking to purchase a handpass that did not purchase on in 2009 may do so anytime.

Other General Information

BOATS: Boats can be berthed from April 1 – Nov. 30. 

ANIMALS: Animals are prohibited at the beach from April 1 – Sept. 30.

BATHHOUSES: Bathhouses close Oct. 1.
