The Town of Westport recognizes the importance of recreation in the overall quality of life of its residents, and our parks, athletic facilities, and recreation programs are designed to enhance that quality of life. The Parks and Recreation Department is committed to providing the best recreation facilities and programs to meet the needs of the residents of Westport.

We seek to establish fees to minimize the financial impact of recreation facilities and programs on the general taxpayer while assuring that all offerings are affordable to those wishing to participate. No resident will be denied access or admission based on an inability to pay.

From undeveloped park lands and playgrounds to golf courses and beaches, from organized sports to kite flying and crafts, recreation provides nourishment for the body, the mind and the spirit. We are committed to meeting the changing needs and desires of our community. We encourage Westporters of all ages to take advantage of our resources, seek out opportunities for recreation and provide us with valuable feedback as we strive to fulfill this mission.
