Public Safety

	Fire Department The mission of the Westport Fire Department is to protect life and property through prevention, education, and fire suppression.

	Police Department The Westport Police Department is responsible for the preservation of public peace, regulation of traffic and parking, protection of citizens and their property, and the enforcement of all laws.

	Emergency Medical Service The purpose of the Westport Volunteer Emergency Medical Service, WVEMS, is to assist the Town of Westport in providing emergency medical care to the community.
