With thousands of requests a year for emergency medical services, we are always looking for special people to help us make the difference. Work with both the police and fire services as a critical link in the chain of Westport’s emergency response system.
Find camaraderie with our unique team of volunteers. Our service is made up of over 100 unpaid professionals from all walks of life, selflessly volunteering over 22,000 hours a year.

Learn the skills it takes to act in a medical emergency. WVEMS offers one of the most comprehensive training classes available today, preparing you with the skills and confidence it takes to become a certified and highly effective Emergency Medical Technician.
If you are unable to join us, won’t you support us? You do not have to be a member of our service to make a difference. Each year we depend on individual donations. It is only through your tax-deductible contributions to our annual support campaign and planned giving bequests that WVEMS is able to fund our emergency service and public classes.
