The Dangerous Dog Hearing Board has five members appointed by the First Selectman for a two year term. 

The board was established by the Representative Town Meeting to promote the public health, safety and general welfare of the citizens of Westport.  It is intended to ensure responsible handling of dangerous dogs by their owners through registration and confinement.
