Memorial Day Parade set for Monday, May 28 The annual Memorial Day Parade will begin on Riverside Avenue at 9 a.m. and will proceed down Post Road to Myrtle Avenue and past Town Hall. Memorial Day ceremonies will be held on Veterans Green immediately following the parade. This year the float theme is "Our Heroes - Past and Present" with certificates being awarded in different categories. In case of severe inclement weather and the parade is cancelled, the Memorial Day ceremonies will be held in the Town Hall auditorium at 10 a.m.

Office hours reduced Vehicle parking emblems are required for entrance to all Westport beaches beginning May 1, 2012. Don't wait in line, save time and purchase online. It's fast, it's easy, and your parking emblem will be mailed to you. In order to reduce costs to the taxpayers we have reduced office staff and hours. The office at Longshore Club Park is only open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for those who would like to make their purchases in person. For more information click here.

The Friends of Westport Parks and Recreation is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to enhance, preserve, protect and promote the Town of Westport's Parks and Recreation facilities in partnership with the town, for the enjoyment of present and future generations of Westport residents.
The Friends are currently raising and accepting funds for the new Halfway House at the Longshore Golf Course, that is being built by a subcommittee of the Longshore Golf Advisory Committee. In the future, the Friends hope to lend assistance to other groups that wish to enhance our parks and recreational facilities.
