The Westport Board of Assessment Appeals will conduct meetings in March to hear appeals for the assessments on the 2009 Grand List for Real Estate, Personal Property, Motor Vehicles, and Motor Vehicles on the 2008 Supplemental Grand List.
 
Persons wishing to appeal the assessment of their property must file an application from February 1 through February 19, 2010.  No applications will be accepted after this deadline.

All values are as of the revaluation date of October 1, 2005. Current market values have no effect on the value of property until the next revaluation in 2010.

Applications are available through the Westport Assessor’s Office or may be downloaded. 

Persons filing an application will receive written confirmation of their appointment by February 26, 2010.
