Longshore welcomes area residents

Westport Parks & Recreation Director Stuart McCarthy has announced that the golf course at Longshore Club Park is now available to non-Westport residents with limitations.

“Long restricted to play by Westport resident and their guests, the Longshore course is now open to non-residents on a ‘walk-up’ basis, and they will not have access to Longshore’s reservation system,” McCarthy said.

He said the par-69 golf course has been completely renovated over the past two seasons and has more than 120 bunkers which reward accurate driving and protect the small contoured greens.

Westport residents with a Parks and Recreation golf handpass will have preference for the “walk-up” positions, McCarthy said.

Non-residents can play 18 holes for $45 on weekdays and $51 on weekends, he added.
