Pay your current and delinquent taxes online at Official Payments Corporation (OPC), the leading provider of reliable, secure electronic payment options to government and other entities. You will need to have your tax bill in order to make a payment.
Your tax payment and a 3% convenience fee will be charged to your credit card by Official Payments Corp.
Attention: Payments will be applied first to the oldest taxes, interest and fees, if delinquent, as described in Chapter 204, §12-144b of the Connecticut State Statutes.
Follow the following steps:
- Get the information you'll need to pay your taxes. Click here to review your tax balance online.
- Search by name for your tax balance. Enter your last name then your first name. Or call the Tax Collector's office at (203) 341-1060 to get the information you'll need.
- Click one of the links below to make your payment once you've got your tax balance information. You will be taken to the Official Payments secure Web site.
- Make sure you've indentified your list number as described below.
The list number is your Unique ID in the top left hand of the tax bill. Do not include spaces when you enter the Unique ID. For instance, you would enter 200801xxxxxxx.
Pay Real Estate Tax by credit card
The list number is the last seven digits of the Unique ID in the top left hand of the tax bill. Do not include spaces when you enter the Unique ID. For instance, you would enter xxxxxxx. Include any leading "0" that is part of the seven digits.
Pay Personal Property Tax by credit card
The list number is your 200803 plus the last seven digits of the Unique ID in the top left hand of the tax bill. Do not include spaces when you enter the Unique ID. For instance, you would enter 200803xxxxxxx. Include any leading "0" that is part of the seven digits.
