Notice is hereby given that the Westport Board of Selectwomen, Traffic Authority, and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at 9:00 AM in the Westport Town Hall Auditorium, 110 Myrtle Avenue, Westport, Connecticut. The meeting will be livestreamed on www.westportct.gov and/or broadcast on Westport’s Optimum Government Access Channel 79, subject to availability. Comments from the public regarding agenda items may be sent for distribution to the Board prior to the meeting to selectwoman@westportct.gov. Agenda to include but not be limited to the following items and is subject to revision:
- To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectwomen’s public meeting of April 23, 2025.
- To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Pop-Up Dining Permit Application for a Pop-Up Cafe to be located in the equivalent of two (2) parking spaces only, or at the discretion of the Board of Selectwomen, on the Town roadway known as Railroad Place adjacent to the property known as 50-54 Railroad Place (Allium Eatery), contingent upon compliance with recommendations, safety conditions and final safety inspection from relevant Town departments and in accordance with the 2023 Pop-Up Dining Permit Policy.
- To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Assignment of Artwork Agreement between the Town of Westport and Miggs Burroughs as it relates to the Minuteman Logo Artwork created in the year 1985 in honor of the Town of Westport’s 150th Anniversary.
- To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the request for a waiver of the Town Policy on Encroachments on Town Property as it relates to the installation of a platform, landing float and dock in the canal off the Saugatuck River adjacent to the property known as 36 Spriteview Avenue, contingent upon compliance with recommendations and requirements from relevant Town Departments and Commissions, and execution of an Encroachment Easement and Hold Harmless Agreement satisfactory to the Town Attorney’s Office.
- To take such action as the meeting may determine to award a contract to Stantec Consulting Services Inc. in the amount of $218,500 for preparation of a Site Suitability Analysis, Architectural Study, Schematic Design, Land-use Permitting, and an Opinion of Probable Cost for a new Parks Maintenance Facility.
- To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the request of the Finance Director and Audit Manager, to approve the Audit Agreement between the Town of Westport and CliftonLarsenAllen, LLP for services related to conducting a special review for compliance purposes of the under the Federal Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
- Acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA) to take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the proposed Sewer Use Rates for 2025 as follows:
Use Charge Rate Per CCF Discharged $6.70
Minimum Use Charge Rate $425.00
Properties on Public Water other than Aquarion Water Co. $525.00
Properties on Un-Metered Water Supply or Well Water $525.00
- Acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA), to approve the supplemental sanitary sewer connection at #23 Edgewater Hillside, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Collection System Supervisor’s letter of April 29, 2025.
- Acting in its capacity as the Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA), to approve the supplemental sanitary sewer connection at #78 North Avenue, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Collection System Supervisor’s letter of May 5, 2025.
