Notice is hereby given that the Westport Board of Selectwomen, Traffic Authority, and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 9:00 AM in the Westport Town Hall Auditorium, 110 Myrtle Avenue, Westport, Connecticut. The meeting will be livestreamed on www.westportct.gov and/or broadcast on Westport’s Optimum Government Access Channel 79, subject to availability. Comments from the public regarding agenda items may be sent for distribution to the Board prior to the meeting to selectwoman@westportct.gov. Agenda to include but not be limited to the following items and is subject to revision(s):
- To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectwomen’s and the Water Pollution Control Authority’s public meetings of June 25, 2025.
- To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the request of the Tax Collector, to approve the refunds of overpayments of taxes, as presented.
- To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Long Lots School Building Committee to approve the Award of Contract for RFQ/RFP 25-141T (Structural Engineering Peer Review, Long Lots Elementary School) to Macchi Engineering, LLC, in the amount of $10,000.00.
- Acting as the Local Traffic Authority (LTA), to take such action as the meeting may determine to approve (i) the closure of Railroad Place and (ii) temporary NO PARKING on the East Side of Riverside Avenue from 555 Riverside Avenue (Saugatuck Firehouse) to 599 Riverside Avenue (Tutti’s Restaurant)from Friday, September 5, 2025 at 6:00 PM to Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 7:00 PM (rain dates: September 12-13) for the 2025 Slice of Saugatuck Event, sponsored by the Westport Weston Chamber of Commerce, contingent upon compliance with recommendations, requests, and final inspections from Town departments and in accordance with the Policy for the Use of Town Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.
- Acting as the Local Traffic Authority (LTA), to take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the request of and in accordance with the broader “Initiative 1” of the Downtown Plan Implementation Committee’s Parking Management recommendation of June 26, 2025, to approve modification to the timed parking limits on the Town roadways known as Main Street, Elm Street, Church Lane, Bay Street, and Jesup Road from 3-hour parking to 2-hour parking.
- Acting as the Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA), to approve the supplemental sanitary sewer connection at #21 Norwalk Avenue, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Collection System Supervisor’s letter of June 30, 2025.
