Notice & Agenda

Notice is hereby given that the Westport Board of Selectwomen, Traffic Authority, and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at 9:00 AM in the Westport Town Hall Auditorium, 110 Myrtle Avenue, Westport, Connecticut. The meeting will be livestreamed on www.westportct.gov and/or broadcast on Westport’s Optimum Government Access Channel 79, subject to availability. Comments from the public regarding agenda items may be sent for distribution to the Board prior to the meeting to selectwoman@westportct.gov. Agenda to include but not be limited to the following items and is subject to revision(s):  

1. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectwomen’s and the Water Pollution Control Authority’s public meetings of July 9, 2025.

2. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Westport Arts Advisory Committee, to re-appoint the Westport Public Art Collections (WestPAC) Committee (a subcommittee of Arts Advisory Committee) as the agent to maintain and manage the Westport Public Art Collections, which include the Westport Schools Permanent Art Collection and Westport Art Collection, for a five-year term retroactively beginning as of July 1, 2024.

3. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the request of the Finance Director, to approve the renewal of the Consulting Contract between the Town of Westport and Marsh McLennan Agency as it relates to consulting for Workers Compensation, Property and Casualty renewal, analysis, case management and assistance with the Town and Board of Education Safety and Health Committees.

4. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the request of the Town Engineer, to approve the Award of Contract for Bid 25-140T (Early Procurement for the Replacement of the 
Cross Highway Bridge over Dead Man’s Brook) to LHV Precast, Inc. of Kingston N.Y., in the amount of $447,100.00. 

5. To take such action as the meeting may determine, to approve the award of contract for Bid No. 26-143T (Contract Cleaning Services July 2025 through June 2030 - Police Headquarters, Parsell Public Works Center, Wastewater Treatment Plant, Center for Senior Activities, annual treatments of Town Hall floors) in the amount of $507,366.16 to Uncle Sam’s Contractors, LLC of East Hartford, CT, subject to final Town Attorney review.

6. To take such action as the meeting may determine, to review and approve the request for a waiver of Westport Town Code Article II. DRIVEWAYS. Sec. 50-340. Construction Standards. (a) Location and size. as it relates to the proposed redevelopment of the property at 715 Post Road East, with frontage on the Town roadway known as Roseville Road, for installation of a driveway to exceed the maximum of 40 feet allowed at the intersection of the roadways, subject to compliance with safety provisions from relevant Town Departments and the execution of a Hold Harmless Agreement acceptable to the Town Attorney’s Office. 

7. Acting as the Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA), to approve the supplemental sanitary sewer connection for the property at #715 Post Road East, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Collection System Supervisor’s letter of July 18, 2025, and final approval from the Town Attorney’s Office.

8. Acting as the Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA), to approve the supplemental sanitary sewer connection at #3 Laurel Lane, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Collection System Supervisor’s letter of July 10, 2025.
9. Acting as the Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA), to approve the supplemental sanitary sewer connection at #25 Evergreen Avenue, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA Collection System Supervisor’s letter of July 18, 2025.
