Notice is hereby given that the Westport Board of Selectwomen, Traffic Authority, and Water Pollution Control Authority will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 9:00 AM in the Westport Town Hall Auditorium, 110 Myrtle Avenue, Westport, Connecticut. The meeting will be livestreamed on www.westportct.gov and/or broadcast on Westport’s Optimum Government Access Channel 79, subject to availability. Comments from the public regarding agenda items may be sent for distribution to the Board prior to the meeting to selectwoman@westportct.gov. Agenda to include but not be limited to the following items and is subject to revision(s):
- To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectwomen’s and the Water Pollution Control Authority’s public meetings of July 23, 2025.
- To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Tax Collector and in accordance with C.G.S. Sec. 12-129, to approve the refunds of overpayments of taxes, as presented.
- To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the request for the waiver of the Town Policy on Encroachments on Town Property as it relates to the stone wall located within the Town right of way at 35 Wright Street, contingent upon compliance with recommendations and requirements from relevant Town Departments and Commissions and the execution of an Encroachment Easement and Hold Harmless Agreement satisfactory to the Town Attorney’s Office.
- As the Local Traffic Authority (LTA), to take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the request from the Westport Downtown Association for the closure of a portion of the Town roadway known as Elm Street and the closure of the Town Property known as Sigrid Schultz Plaza from Friday, October 3 (set up) through Sunday, October 5, 2025 (or earlier for breakdown) for the Westport Downtown Association’s Westoberfest Event scheduled for October 4, 2025, contingent upon compliance with recommendations from Town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.
- To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the request of the Finance Director, to approve the renewal of the Consulting Contract between the Town of Westport and Marsh McLennan Agency as it relates to consulting for Workers Compensation, Property and Casualty renewal, analysis, case management and assistance with the Town and Board of Education Safety and Health Committees.
- To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the request of the Finance Director, to approve the Renewal Amendment to the Agreement between the Town of Westport and Fifth Asset, Inc. d/b/a DebtBook, dated May 15, 2021, for accounting services and financial management software.
- To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the request of the IT Director, to approve the Maintenance Renewal Agreement between the Town of Westport and DC-Group, Inc. for UPS Maintenance, Repair, and Support Services.
TABLED FROM JULY 23, 2025, MEETING
- Acting as the Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA), to (i) vote to take from the table and (ii) approve the supplemental sanitary sewer connection for the property at #715 Post Road East, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA General Manager’s letter of July 18, 2025.
- Acting as the Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA) to revise the previous approval from the WPCA, dated February 26, 2025 for the mainline sewer extension and supplemental connections for 25 Ellery Lane, to include #s 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, and 31 Ellery Lane as additional beneficiaries of the private sanitary sewer mainline extension, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA General Manager’s letter of August 6, 2025.
- Acting as the Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA), to approve the supplemental sanitary sewer connection for the property at #15 Pleasant Valley Lane, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA General Manager’s letter of July 18, 2025.
