NOTICE OF DECISION
The Westport Historic District Commission held an electronic public meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, for the following purposes:
1. APPROVED a Certificate of Appropriateness application dated April 8, 2025, for proposed renovation and addition at 25 Evergreen Avenue (PID # D10018000) which is located in the Evergreen Avenue Local Historic District.
2. APPROVED a Certificate of Appropriateness application dated April 23, 2025, for proposed demolition of the Wakeman Town Farm barn; and construction of a new barn in conformance with the drawings submitted with the April 23, 2025, application at 134 Cross Highway/ 70 North Avenue (PID # F12007000) which is a locally designated property.
3. APPROVED a Certificate of Appropriateness application dated April 25, 2025, for proposed sign installation on Veterans Green at 109 Myrtle Avenue (PID # C10132000) which is a locally designated property.
4. APPROVED a Certificate of Appropriateness application dated April 24, 2025, for proposed renovation and addition on existing residence and demolition of garage at 4 Wild Rose Road (PID # C11168000) which is located in the Gorham Avenue Local Historic District.
5. DENIED a Certificate of Appropriateness application dated April 27, 2025, for proposed rooftop, solar installation at 41 Kings Highway North (PID # B09072000) which is located in the Kings Highway North Local and National Historic Districts, because the Historic District Commission finds that the proposed solar installation cannot be installed without substantially impairing the historic character and appearance of the district.
