NOTICE AND AGENDA OF BOARD OF FINANCE MEETING 

         

 SPECIAL NOTICE ABOUT PROCEDURES FOR THIS PUBLIC MEETING: 

This meeting will be held in-person IN THE AUDITORIUM OF THE WESTPORT town hall.

This meeting will be broadcast on Channel 79 AND/OR live streamed on the Town Website westportct.gov. (On the website, select “How Do I” heading, and select “Watch Town Meetings”.) Meeting materials will be available at westportct.gov along with the meeting notice posted on the Meeting List & Calendar page. Agenda to include but not be limited to the following items and is subject to revision.

 

NOTICE OF BOARD OF FINANCE PUBLIC MEETING 

                                                    

The Board of Finance will hold a Public Meeting on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at 7:30 p.m. in the Auditorium of the Westport Town Hall for the following purposes: 

     AGENDA

 

  1. To approve the Board of Finance Minutes of the September 3, 2025 Regular Meeting.

     

  2. Financial Report from the Finance Director. (Discussion Only)

     

  3. Status Update from the Audit Manager. (Discussion Only)

     

  4. Status Update on the Long Lots Elementary School Building Project, by Jay Keenan, Chair of the Long Lots Building Committee. (Discussion Only) 

     

  5. Upon the request of the Superintendent of Schools, to approve a supplemental appropriation in the amount of $19,590 for Capital Improvement Projects funded during FY24 and FY25.

     

  6. Upon the request of the Superintendent of Schools, to approve an appropriation in the amount of $217,555 along with bond and note authorization to the Educational Facilities Improvement Fund Account for bid awards related to design work for FY26 capital projects identified as SHS-009, SHS-010, SHS-011, SHS-015, GFS-002, GFS-003, and GFS-004 in the Board of Education’s Capital Improvement Plan.

     

  7. Upon the request of the Director of Public Works, to approve an appropriation in the amount of $1,580,000 along with bond and note authorization to the Municipal Improvement Fund Account 30503310-500475-18007 for the replacement of the Compo Marina North Seawall with sloped stone revetment.

     

  8. Upon the request of the Director of Parks & Recreation, to approve an appropriation in the amount of $104,420 along with bond and note authorization to the Municipal Improvement Fund Account 30508810-500476-18009 for the Design, Permitting and Construction Administration for Rehabilitation of the Longshore Marina Bulkhead.
  9. Upon the request of the Director of Parks & Recreation, to approve an appropriation in the amount of $95,000 along with bond and note to the Municipal Improvement Fund Account 30508810-500473 for the design of a replacement Irrigation System at Longshore Golf Course.

     

  10. Upon the request of the Director of Parks & Recreation, to approve an appropriation in the amount of $40,000 to the Capital and Non-Recurring Fund Account 31508810-500474 for emergency repairs to the Riverwalk Staircase at the Westport Library.

     

  11. Upon the request of the Fire Chief, to approve an appropriation in the amount of $2,484,484 along with bond and note authorization to the Municipal Improvement Fund Account 30502220-500472 for a new LTC 93' Mid-Mount Platform Tower Ladder Truck.
