WESTPORT CONSERVATION COMMISSION
JUNE 18, 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Conservation Commission made the following decisions at its
June 18, 2025 Public Hearing in conformance with the Connecticut Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Act and the Town of Westport’s Regulations for the Protection and Preservation of Wetlands and Watercourses and the Waterway Protection Line Ordinance.
THE FOLLOWING APPLICATION WERE APPROVED WITH CONDITIONS:
- 83 Red Coat Road:Application #IWW/M-12139-25 by Kousidis Engineering on behalf of Kevin G Russel Tr & Shereen H Russel Tr to amend wetland boundary map #C15.
- 31 Woody Lane:Application #IWW/M-12144-25 by Curt Lowenstein on behalf of Stephen Ippolito and Amanda Brody to amend wetland boundary map #G13,
- 40 Compo Beach Road: Continued Application: Application #WPL-12124-25 by David Giorlando on behalf of Michele Cardello for an open air cabana. Work is within the WPL area of Grays Creek.
- 125 Riverside Avenue: Continued Application: Application #WPL-12127-25 by Lucien Vita on behalf of 125 RA LLC to demolish the existing house and construct a new single family residence and accessory dwelling unit. Portions of the work are within the WPL area of the Saugatuck River.
- 5 Rebel Road:Application #IWW,WPL-12128-25 by Dean Martin on behalf of Max Bender to construct a patio. Portions of the work are within the upland review area and the WPL area of the West Branch of the Saugatuck River.
- 1 Riverview Road: Application #WPL-12141-25 by John Hilts on behalf of 1 Riverview LLC to replace an existing dock with a newdock ramp and pier. Work is within the WPL area of the Saugatuck River.
- Lee’s Pond Dam, 18 River Lane:Application #IWW,WPL-12152-25 by the Young Men’s Christian Association of Westport/Weston CT on behalf of Bennett Grau & Allison Gasvoda to repair or reconstruct south, southwest wing walls and retained soils to the west abutment and repair dislodged masonry along base of east abutment wing wall and replace the timber sluice gate at the auxiliary spillway. Work is within the wetland, the upland review area, and the WPL area of the Saugatuck River.
