Notice is hereby given that the Westport Board of Selectmen, Local Traffic Authority (LTA), and Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA) will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at 9:00 AM in Westport Town Hall Auditorium, 110 Myrtle Avenue, Westport, Connecticut. The meeting will be livestreamed on www.westportct.gov and/or broadcast on Westport’s Optimum Government Access Channel 79, subject to availability. Comments from the public regarding agenda items may be sent for distribution to the Board prior to the meeting to selectman@westportct.gov. Agenda to include but not be limited to the following items and is subject to revision(s): 

 

  1. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s and Water Pollution Control Authority’s meetings of February 25, 2026.

     

  2. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Tax Collector and in accordance with C.G.S. Sec. 12-129, to approve the refunds of overpayments of taxes, as presented. 

     

  3. Acting as the LTA, to take such action as the meeting may determine, to approve the requests from the Westport Downtown Association, contingent upon compliance with safety recommendations from Town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways for the following:

     

    a) Temporarily close Church Lane between its intersections at Elm Street and Post Road East from May 8, 2026 to October 1, 2026.

    b) Use the sidewalk adjacent to Church Lane on Fridays and Saturdays from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm from June 5, 2026 to September 26, 2026 for the Summer Music Series. 

     

  4. Acting as the LTA, to take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the request of the Parks & Recreation Director, to approve the use of Town roads, contingent upon compliance with comments from various Town departments and in accordance with the Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways, and further, to request permission from the Connecticut Traffic Authority for the use of certain State roadways for each of the following events:

     

    c) Minuteman Race on Sunday, April 26, 2026 on Town roads and State roadway Rte. 136 (Compo Road South and Bridge Street).

    d) Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 25, 2026 on Town roads and State roadways Rte. 33 (Riverside Avenue) and Rte. 1 (Post Road East).

    e) Weekly Road Runners Series on Saturdays from June 27 to September 5 on Town roads and State roadway Rte. 1 (Post Road East) for August 1, August 8 and September 5, 2026 races. 

     

  5. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the request of the Parks & Recreation Director, to approve the Lease, Maintenance, and Maintenance Payments Agreements between the Town of Westport and DLL Financial Solutions Partners for equipment (golf carts) supplied under the Agreement between the Town of Westport and Club Car, LLC, dated February 17, 2026.

     

  6. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the request of the Police Department, Railroad Parking Division, to approve a Temporary Construction Staging Agreement between the Town of Westport and Rizzo Electrical Contractors, LLC. to utilize the rear section of Parking Lot 8 at the Saugatuck Train Station from April 1, 2026 to July 30, 2027 for CT DOT project No. 0170-3743 construction vehicle and material storage.

     

  7. Acting in its capacity as the WPCA, to take such action as the meeting may determine to rescind the approval of the supplemental sanitary sewer connection request granted on August 13, 2025 for the property at #15 Pleasant Valley Lane, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA General Manager’s letter of February 26, 2026.

  8. Acting in its capacity as the WPCA, to take such action as the meeting may determine to rescind the approval of the supplemental sanitary sewer connection request granted on November 12, 2025 for the property at #8 Indian Point Lane, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA General Manager’s letter of March 9, 2026.

     

  9. Acting in its capacity as the WPCA and in accordance with Chapter 103, C.G.S. §7-245, et. seq., to approve the final benefit assessments to be levied against properties that obtained supplemental sanitary sewer connection approval during 2025. 

     

  10. Acting in its capacity as the WPCA and in accordance with Chapter 103, C.G.S. §7-245, et. seq., to approve the final benefit assessment(s) to be levied for the construction or acquisition of a sewer system affecting properties located in all or part of the following area(s): 

Contract 77: Pump Station #8 – 60 Nyala Farms Road
