Notice is hereby given that the Westport Board of Selectmen, Local Traffic Authority (LTA), and Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA) will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 9:00 AM in Westport Town Hall Auditorium, 110 Myrtle Avenue, Westport, Connecticut. The meeting will be livestreamed on www.westportct.gov and/or broadcast on Westport’s Optimum Government Access Channel 79, subject to availability. Comments from the public regarding agenda items may be sent for distribution to the Board prior to the meeting to selectman@westportct.gov. Agenda to include but not be limited to the following items and is subject to revision(s):  

1. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s and Water Pollution Control Authority’s meetings of March 11, 2026.

2. To take such action as the meeting may determine, in accordance with the Policy For Gifts to the Town and at the request of the Arts Advisory Committee, to approve acceptance of the following:

a) Anonymous donor: Gary Lee Price, Circle of Peace (bronze, c. 1970s), estimated value $50,000 (appraisal to come) 
b) Westport Book Sales Venture (via Bererd Platt), six photographs of Pakistan (Fall 2001) from the Getty Images assignment; No value provided
c) Westport Fire Department transfer: Patricia Everson, Gault Oil Tank and Coal Silos, (Acrylic, late 1950s-early 1960s), No value provided; originally gift of LH Gault and Sons to WFD
d) Westport Fire Department transfer: Susan Rabinowitz (Malloy), Saugatuck docks, and Gault coal silos and oil tanks (Watercolor and gouache on paper, circa 1943 – 1957), No value provided.

3. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the Pop-Up Dining Permit Application for a Pop-Up Cafe to be located in the equivalent of two (2) parking spaces only, or at the discretion of the Board of Selectmen, on the Town roadway known as Railroad Place adjacent to the property known as 30 Railroad Place (Tarantino Restaurant), contingent upon compliance with recommendations, safety conditions and final safety inspection from relevant Town departments and in accordance with the 2023 Pop-Up Dining Permit Policy.

4. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the request for a waiver of Westport Town Code Article II. DRIVEWAYS. Sec. 50-340. Construction Standards. (d) Grade. as it relates to the driveway constructed at 33 Hickory Lane that exceeds the standard(s), subject to compliance with safety provisions from relevant Town Departments and the execution of a Hold Harmless Agreement acceptable to the Town Attorney’s Office. 

5. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the request for a waiver of the Town Policy on Encroachments on Town Property as it relates to the installation of a seawall, ramp, floating dock, and pilings in the canal off the Saugatuck River adjacent to the property known as 14 Spriteview Avenue, contingent upon compliance with recommendations and requirements from relevant Town Departments and Commissions, and execution of an Encroachment Easement and Hold Harmless Agreement satisfactory to the Town Attorney’s Office.

6. To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the request for a waiver of the Town Policy on Encroachments on Town Property as it relates to the relocation of stone wall(s) within the Town Right-of-Way fronting 110 and 112 Roseville Road, contingent upon compliance with recommendations and requirements from relevant Town Departments and Commissions, and execution of an Encroachment Easement and Hold Harmless Agreement satisfactory to the Town Attorney’s Office.

7. Acting as the Board of Selectmen, in accordance with the Policy for Gifts to the Town, to approve the acceptance of a donation in the amount of approximately $27,175 from the owners of 455 Post Road East for the purpose of funding roadway improvements on East Main Street in the vicinity of Whitney Glen Drive; and, acting as the Local Traffic Authority, to approve the installation of a new crosswalk, two (2) Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB) signs, and related sidewalk improvements at that location.

8. To take such action as the meeting may determine, upon the recommendation of the Director of Human Services and subject to final review by Town Attorney, to approve a contract between the Town of Westport and DNR Laboratories, LLC for the installation of an upgraded sound system for programming rooms at WCSA.

9. To approve the Award of Contract RFP #26-162T, State Project L158-0003, State Grant Program CORE-CT No. 13033-DOT57197-43584, for LOTCIP Compo Road South (Route 136) Sidewalk Improvements in the amount of $1,556,640.00 to G. Pic & Sons Construction Co.

10. Acting as the WPCA, to take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the supplemental sanitary sewer connection request for the property at #10 Ambler Road West, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA General Manager’s letter of March 18, 2026.

11. Acting as the WPCA, to take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the supplemental sanitary sewer connection request for the property at #118 Hillspoint Road, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA General Manager’s letter of March 18, 2026.

12. Acting in its capacity as the WPCA and in accordance with Chapter 103, C.G.S. §7-245, et. seq., to approve the final benefit assessment(s) to be levied for the design, construction, and construction oversight of the sewer system (Contract No. 75, Town Bid 23-068T) affecting properties located in all or part of the following areas: 

Evergreen Avenue, Evergreen Parkway, Tamarac Road, Lone Pine Lane, Gorham Avenue, Compo Road North and Brookside Drive.
