04-07-2026 REVISION 1 - ITEM #6 POSTPONED

 

Notice is hereby given that the Westport Board of Selectmen, Local Traffic Authority (LTA), and Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA) will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 9:00 AM in Westport Town Hall Auditorium, 110 Myrtle Avenue, Westport, Connecticut. The meeting will be livestreamed on www.westportct.gov and/or broadcast on Westport’s Optimum Government Access Channel 79, subject to availability. Comments from the public regarding agenda items may be sent for distribution to the Board prior to the meeting to selectman@westportct.gov. Agenda to include but not be limited to the following items and is subject to revision(s). 

 

To take such action as the meeting may determine:

 

  1. To approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s and Water Pollution Control Authority’s meetings of March 25, 2026.

     

  2. Upon the recommendation of the Tax Collector and in accordance with C.G.S. Sec. 12-129, to approve the refunds of overpayments of taxes, as presented.

     

  3. In accordance with the Policy for Gifts to the Town, to approve the acceptance of a donation in the amount of $20,000 from Sustainable Westport, Inc. for the purchase and installation of two (2) MDF, ADA-Compliant filling stations to replace current water fountains at Compo Beach and Winslow Park, and; to approve the recognition plaques to be affixed to the water stations in memory of Sherry Jagerson (Winslow Park) and sponsorship and gift acknowledgement from Sustainable Westport. 

     

  4. Upon the recommendation of the Director of Human Services and subject to final review by the Town Attorney, to approve a contract between the Town of Westport and DNR Laboratories, LLC for the installation of an upgraded sound system for programming rooms at Westport Conter for Senior Activities (WCSA).

     

  5. Upon the recommendation of the Parks & Recreation Director, to approve an agreement between the Town of Westport and Champion Maintenance and Construction, LLC for custodial services at Parks and Recreation facilities.

     

    04-07-2026 Item #6 POSTPONED

  6. Upon the request of the Long Lots School Building Committee (LLSBC), to approve Phase 3 Guaranteed Maximum Price ("GMP") Amendment to the AIA Standard Form of Agreement between the Town of Westport and Newfield Construction Group, LLC dated July 2, 2024 (Design & Construction) GMP for the Long Lots Elementary School Building Project.

     

  7. To adopt the following Town of Westport policy statements, resolutions, procedures, and notice: 

     

            a. Fair Housing Policy Statement, Grievance Procedure, and Resolution;

            b. Equal Opportunity Policy Statement;

            c. Affirmative Action Policy Statement; and

           d. Americans with Disabilities Act Policy Statement, Grievance Procedure, and Notice.

 

   8. As the WPCA, to approve the request for a supplemental sanitary sewer connection for the property at #11 Ledgemoor lane, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA General Manager’s letter of April 3, 2026.
