Notice & Agenda

Notice is hereby given that the Westport Board of Selectmen, Local Traffic Authority (LTA), and Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA) will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at 9:00 AM in Westport Town Hall Auditorium, 110 Myrtle Avenue, Westport, Connecticut. The meeting will be livestreamed on www.westportct.gov and/or broadcast on Westport’s Optimum Government Access Channel 79, subject to availability. Comments from the public regarding agenda items may be sent for distribution to the Board prior to the meeting to selectman@westportct.gov. Agenda to include but not be limited to the following items and is subject to revision(s).  

To take such action as the meeting may determine:

1. To approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s and WPCA’s meetings of May 13, 2026. 

    

2. Upon the recommendation of the Real Property Committee and pursuant to Article IVA of the Ground Lease between the Town of Westport and the Saugatuck Cooperative, dated March 12, 1992, to approve a temporary adjustment to the calculation of the Maximum Transfer Value as defined in that Article IVA.

    

3. In accordance with Town Code Sec. C4-6, and upon the recommendation of the Parks & Recreation Commission, to approve the revisions to the Longshore Golf Course – 2026 Policies and Procedures, Golf Course Fee Schedule, and Golf Course Rules and Regulations, as described in the red-lined document from Director of Parks and Recreation Erik Barbieri, dated March 26, 2026, and posted with the Town Clerk on May 5, 2026.

    

4. Upon the request of the Finance Director, to approve the renewal of the Consulting Contract between the Town of Westport and Marsh McLennan Agency as it relates to consulting for Workers Compensation, Property and Casualty renewal, analysis, case management and assistance with the Town and Board of Education Safety and Health Committees.

    

5. Acting as the LTA, to request the Connecticut Department of Transportation, Traffic Division to review and approve the placement of a mid-block Rapid Rectangular Flashing Beacon, (RRFB), on Riverside Avenue, between Railroad Parking Lots Numbers 5 and 6 just north of the I-95 Bridge.

    

6. Acting as the WPCA to approve the proposed Sewer Use Charge Rates for 2026 as follows:

    

   Use Charge Rate Per CCF Discharged                                  $     7.70

   Minimum Use Charge Rate                                                  $ 525.00

   Properties on Public Water other than Aquarion Water Co.    $ 625.00

   Properties on Un-Metered Water Supply or Well Water         $ 625.00

    

7. To hear a presentation/overview by WPCA General Manager Bryan Thompson of the WPCA’s physical and financial operations.
8. In accordance with the Town of Westport Policy for Gifts to the Town, to review the accounting of monetary donations under $5,001 accepted by the First Selectwoman/First Selectman during the calendar year 2025.
