WESTPORT CONSERVATION COMMISSION
PUBLIC HEARING
MAY 20, 2026
Notice is hereby given of a Public Hearing of the Westport Conservation Commission pursuant to the Connecticut Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Act, and the Regulations for the Protection and Preservation of Inland Wetlands and Watercourses of the Town of Westport (IWW Regulations) and the Waterway Protection Line Ordinance (WPLO) to be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. in Room 201/201A of Westport Town Hall.
This meeting will be live streamed on https://www.westportct.gov and shown on Optimum Government Access Channel 79, subject to availability. Meeting materials will be available at: https://www.westportct.gov/government/departments-a-z/conservation-department/conservation-commission/commission-meetings
The Commission shall meet to take such action under the purview of the Town’s IWW Regulations and the Waterway Protection Line Ordinance as the meeting may determine with regard to the following:
Changes or Additions to the Agenda: The Commission may amend the agenda by a 2/3 vote to include items not requiring a Public Hearing.
Public Hearing:
- 48 Cavalry Road:Application #IWW/M-12314-26 by Moon Gardens LLC on behalf of Gina Coryell Fant Simon Tr. & Shari Lynn Fant-Simon Tr. to amend wetland boundary map #B16.
- 183 Hillspoint Road:Application #WPL-12312-26 by Moon Gardens LLC on behalf of Lori & David Popkin to construct a new single-family residence, attached garage, driveway, inground swimming pool, patio, and stormwater drainage system. Work is within the WPLO area of the Sherwood Mill Pond.
- 14 Spriteview Avenue:Application #WPL-12316-26 by John Hilts on behalf of Jeffrey Manchester to replace a deteriorated timber crib seawall with a new timber crib seawalland install a ramp and floating dock. Work is within the WPL area of the Saugatuck River.
- 101 Harbor Road:Application #WPL-12318-26 by Moon Gardens LLC on behalf of 101 Harbor Road LLC / Steven Perkins to construct a new single-family residence, attached garage, driveway, in-ground swimming pool, patio, and subsurface drainage system. Work is within the WPLO area of the Saugatuck River.
- 6 Ambler Road West:Application #IWW,WPL-12320-26 by Greg & Karen Hawes for legalization of backyard recreational area including expanded patio with pergola and a golf practice green. Work is within the upland review area and the WPLO area of an unnamed tributary of Muddy Brook.
- 110 Long Lots Road:Application #IWW,WPL-12322-26 by Bryan Kerschner on behalf of 110 Long Lots LLC to construct a new single-family residence. Portions of the work are within the WPLO area of Muddy Brook.

- Approval of April 22, 2026 meeting minutes.
- Approval of April 29, 2026 Work Session minutes.
- Other Business
The Commission may not open new business on the agenda after 10 p.m. at the discretion of the Chairman. This includes applications scheduled for public hearings. Items shall be continued or rescheduled to a later date, as necessary.
