LEGAL NOTICE OF DECISION 

Notice is hereby given that the Westport Flood & Erosion Control Board took the following actions at an electronic meeting held on May 5, 2026: 

  1. PUBLIC HEARING 
  1. 183 Hillspoint Road / WPL-12312-26; APPROVED. Application of Moon Gardens LLC on behalf of the owners, Lori L & David A Popkin, to construct a new single-family dwelling, attached garage, driveway, in-ground swimming pool, patio, and stormwater drainage system.The proposed activity is within the WPL area of the Sherwood Mill Pond.

     

  2. 14 Spriteview Avenue / WPL-12316-26; APPROVED. Application of John Hilts on behalf of the owner, Jeffrey Manchester, to replace a deteriorated timber crib seawall and install a ramp and floating dock.The proposed activity is within the WPL area of the Saugatuck River.

     

  3. 51 Marion Road / WPL-12317-26; APPROVED. Application of Danielle & Patrick Ryll to legalize pond restoration work done without permits.The work was done within the WPL area of an unnamed tributary to Stony Brook.

     

  4. 101 Harbor Road / WPL-12318-26; APPROVED. Application of Moon Gardens LLC on behalf of the owner, 101 Harbor Road LLC / Steven Perkins, to construct a new single-family dwelling, attached garage, driveway, in-ground swimming pool, patio, and subsurface drainage system.The proposed activity is within the WPL area of the Saugatuck River.

     

  5. 6 Ambler Road West / WPL-12320-26; APPROVED. Application of Greg & Karen Hawes to legalize a recreational area constructed in the rear yard with an expanded patio, pergola, and golf practice green.The work was done within the WPL area of an unnamed tributary to Muddy Brook. 

     

  6. 110 Long Lots Road / WPL-12322-26; APPROVED. Application of Bryan Kerschner on behalf of the owner, 110 Long Lots LLC, to construct a new single-family dwelling.The proposed activity is partially within the WPL area of Muddy Brook.

 

Decisions, applications, and plans may be inquired into by contacting the Public Works Office at (203)341-1120, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
