NOTICE OF FIELD TRIP
CONSERVATION COMMISSION
The Westport Conservation Commission will conduct a site visit on Friday, February 6, 2026 at 9:30 a.m. for orientation purposes only to the following properties in preparation for reviewing the following agenda items at its February 11, 2026 Public Hearing.
- Kings Highway North ROW, adjacent to
118 188 Post Road West & 18 Kings Highway North:Application #IWW,WPL/E-12267-26 by Peter Ratkiewich, Director of Public Works on behalf of the Town of Westport for a concrete pedestrian bridge to be installed crossing Stony Creek just south of Kings Highway North with new abutments constructed landward of the existing stone retaining walls to support the new bridge. Work is taking place above the existing watercourse and retaining walls.
- 8 Canal Road:Application #WPL-12264-26 by David Giorlando to renovate and construct additions to an existing single-family residence. Work is within the WPL area of the Saugatuck River.
- 20 Morningside Drive South:Application #AA,WPL-12262-25 by Lucio Gabriel on behalf of 20 Morningside Classic Quality Builders LLC to construct a retaining wall, fence, in-ground swimming pool, patio and associated grading. Portions of the work are within the WPL area of Muddy Brook.
- 22 Morningside Drive South:Application #AA,WPL-12263-25 by Lucio Gabriel on behalf of 22 Morningside Luxury Builders LLC to construct a retaining wall, fence and associated grading. Portions of the work are within the WPL area of Muddy Brook.
- 112 and 114 Roseville Road and 3 Elwil Drive:Application #IWW-12266-26 by David Ginter, PE of Redniss & Mead on behalf of 112 Roseville Road LLC, Roseville Partners LLC and Frederick Post to reconfigure and subdivide the existing parcels to create 4 total lots. Portions of the work are within the upland review area setbacks.
Members will meet at the sites in their own vehicles. The sites might be especially wet and or be prone to ticks so appropriate clothing and footwear is recommended.
