Notice & Agenda
Notice is hereby given that the Westport Board of Selectmen, Local Traffic Authority (LTA), and Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA) will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at 9:00 AM in the Westport Town Hall Auditorium, 110 Myrtle Avenue, Westport, Connecticut. The meeting will be livestreamed on www.westportct.gov and/or broadcast on Westport’s Optimum Government Access Channel 79, subject to availability. Comments from the public regarding agenda items may be sent for distribution to the Board prior to the meeting to selectman@westportct.gov. Agenda to include but not be limited to the following item(s) and is subject to revision:
To take such action as the meeting may determine:
- To approve the minutes of the Board of Selectman’s and the Water Pollution Control Authority’s Meetings of July 22, 2026.
- Upon the recommendation of the Tax Collector and in accordance with C.G.S. Sec. 12-129, to approve the refunds of overpayments of taxes, as presented.
Rescheduled from July 22, 2026
- To review and approve the request for a waiver of the Town Policy on Encroachments on Town Property as it relates to a stone wall installed within the Town Right-of-Way at 19 Center Street, contingent upon compliance with recommendations and requirements from relevant Town Departments and/or Commissions, and execution of an Encroachment Easement and Hold Harmless Agreement satisfactory to the Town Attorney’s Office.
- Upon the request of the Fire Chief, to approve an authorizing resolution that the Town of Westport may enter into and deliver to the State of Connecticut Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection, Division of Emergency Management and Homeland Security, any and all documents it deems necessary and appropriate; and further, that Kevin Christie, as First Selectman of the Town of Westport is authorized and directed to execute and deliver any and all documents on behalf of the Town of Westport and to do and perform all acts and things which he deems necessary or appropriate to carry out the terms of such documents.
- As the WPCA, to approve the request for a supplemental sanitary sewer connection for the property at #4 Ridge Drive, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA General Manager’s letter of July 17, 2026.
