Notice is hereby given that the Westport Board of Selectmen, Local Traffic Authority (LTA), and Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA) will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at 9:00 AM in the Westport Town Hall Auditorium, 110 Myrtle Avenue, Westport, Connecticut. The meeting will be livestreamed on www.westportct.gov and/or broadcast on Westport’s Optimum Government Access Channel 79, subject to availability. Comments from the public regarding agenda items may be sent for distribution to the Board prior to the meeting to selectman@westportct.gov. Agenda to include but not be limited to the following item(s) and is subject to revision:

To take such action as the meeting may determine:

1. To approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s and the Water Pollution Control Authority’s Meetings of August 12, 2026.

    

2. Upon the recommendation of the Tax Collector and in accordance with C.G.S. Sec. 12-129, to approve the refunds of overpayments of taxes, as presented.

    

3. To approve the request for a waiver of the Town Policy on Encroachments on Town Property as it relates to the installation of a dock in the canal off the Saugatuck River and located within the Town Right-of-Way adjacent to the property known as 22 Spriteview Avenue, contingent upon compliance with recommendations and requirements from relevant Town Departments and/or Commissions, and execution of an Encroachment Easement and Hold Harmless Agreement satisfactory to the Town Attorney’s Office.

    

4. As the LTA, to approve the use of various Town roadways for the Walk Bike Westport/Westport Swim Team Group Ride scheduled for Sunday, October 18, 2026 at 4:00 PM, contingent upon compliance with comments from various Town departments and in accordance with the Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways, and further, to request permission from the Connecticut DOT, Highway Division, for the use of certain state roads (CT Rte. 1, CT Rte. 33, and CT Rte. 136) for the event.

5. In accordance with the Policy for Naming Town Property, to approve the renaming of the Town owned property known as the Wakeman Field B, located at Wakeman Farm Drive, in honor of Dan Woog, and further, if approved by the Board of Selectmen, to forward the request to the Representative Town Meeting for its review at its next scheduled public meeting.

    

6. At the request of the Director of Information Technology, to approve the Agreement/Statement of Work between the Town of Westport and Total Communications for two (2) Meraki Router/Security Hardware and six (6) Cisco 3-year License Subscription Services.

    

7. To approve the Award of Contract for Bid 27-181T (Sewer Pump Station 10 Force Main Replacement) to AJ Penna & Son, Westport, CT in the amount of $748,650.00.

    

8. As the WPCA, to approve the request for a supplemental sanitary sewer connection for the property at #39 Danbury Avenue, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA General Manager’s letter of August 19, 2026.
