Notice & Agenda

Notice is hereby given that the Westport Board of Selectmen, Local Traffic Authority (LTA), and Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA) will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at 9:00 AM in the Westport Town Hall Auditorium, 110 Myrtle Avenue, Westport, Connecticut. The meeting will be livestreamed on www.westportct.gov and/or broadcast on Westport’s Optimum Government Access Channel 79, subject to availability. Comments from the public regarding agenda items may be sent for distribution to the Board prior to the meeting to selectman@westportct.gov. Agenda to include but not be limited to the following item(s) and is subject to revision:

To take such action as the meeting may determine: 

1. To approve the minutes of the Board of Selectmen’s and the Water Pollution Control Authority’s Meetings of August 26, 2026 and the Board of Selectmen’s Special Meeting of August 28, 2026.

    

2. Upon the recommendation of the Tax Collector and in accordance with C.G.S. Sec. 12-129, to approve the refunds of overpayments of taxes, as presented.

    

3. Acting as the LTA, to approve the closure of (i) Main Street from Post Road to Avery Place (ii) Avery Place from Main Street to Myrtle Avenue and(iii) Myrtle Avenue from Evergreen Avenue to Main Street and the use of Veterans Green from 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm on Wednesday, October 28, 2026 (rain date: Thursday, October 29, 2026) for the Parks & Recreation-sponsored Halloween Parade.

    

4. Upon the request of the Director of Human Services, to approve the acceptance of an anonymous donation in the amount of $15,000.00 to the Live Life to the Max Mentorship Program.

    

5. Upon the request of the Director of Human Services, to approve the Agreement between the Town of Westport and Alliance for Community Empowerment, Inc., allowing Westport Human Services to serve as an intake site to assist residents in completing Connecticut Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) Year 2026-2027 applications for energy assistance.

    

6. To approve an Electric Distribution Easement granted by the Town of Westport (“Grantor”) to The Connecticut Light and Power Company d/b/a Eversource Energy (“Grantee”) in connection with certain electric utility equipment on Town owned land on the westerly side of Compo Road South, more particularly described on a map entitled “Easement Map Depicting Easement Area to be Granted to CL&P dba Eversource across the Property of Town of Westport #60 Compo Road South Westport, Connecticut CL&P File No W24001 Date: 2024-01-31…by Martin Surveying Associates LLC.”

    

7. As the WPCA, to approve the request for a supplemental sanitary sewer connection for the ADU at the property at #218 Hillspoint Road, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA General Manager’s letter of August 27, 2026.

    

8. As the WPCA, to approve the request for a Sanitary Sewer Mainline Extension and Residential Sanitary Sewer Connections for a 3-Lot Subdivision for properties at 112 and 114 Roseville Road, contingent upon compliance with the WPCA General Manager’s letter of August 28, 2026.
