A meeting of the Energy Performance Contracting Implementation Committee (EPC) will be held on Thursday, May 21st at 8am in Room 309 of Town Hall
1) Review of Minutes
2) Update from AKF on current EPC Phase 1 project status and progress
3) The major focus of this meeting will be a discussion of the financing of an Energy Performance Contract as follows:
Attending the meeting and presenting will be Ms. Holly Andreozzi, Senior Vice President-Energy Services, Banc of America Public Capital Corp. along with Mr. Charlie Szilagyi, Account Mgr. for CT. Banc of America serves as the State of Connecticut’s selected leasing agent under the State supported Energy Savings Contracting Program and the sole agent for administering the CT Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA) interest rate buy down option. Under the buy down program the interest rate can be bought down by 1% for 10 years for all electrical related savings expenditures a municipality undertakes. The Banc of America Energy Services group has worked with all of the major Energy Savings Companies (ESCO’s) on the State of CT pre-approved list.
Also attending will be Mr. Matt Spoerndle, Managing Director of Phoenix Advisors. Mr. Spoerndle serves as the Town of Westport’s Financial Advisor. He also has experience with Energy Savings Performance Contracting and will share his perspectives on financing.
