As Westport marks the beginning of Hanukkah, we do so with reflection and resolve, in light of the horrific antisemitic violence in Australia. We stand with the Jewish community here in Westport and around the world.

Hanukkah reminds us of resilience, the triumph of light over darkness, and the miracle of perseverance. In moments like these, coming together as a community matters.

The Westport community is invited to join clergy from Westport congregations for the Community Hanukkah Candle Lighting on Tuesday, December 16 at 5:15 PM, in downtown Westport at the corner of Post Road East and Main Street, as we gather in solidarity, peace, and shared light.
