Westport will take center stage this June as a stop on the Special Fathers Network (SFN) U.S. Tour, a nationwide initiative from the 21st Century Dads Foundation supporting fathers raising children with special needs.

Timed to lead into Father’s Day, the cross-country tour (May 21–June 21) includes 60+ events in all 50 states. Its mission is simple but powerful: connect families, share resources, and build a stronger community of support for families.

Hosted by the Westport Commission on People with Disabilities at Westport’s Center for Senior Activities, this free community event invites fathers, mothers, caregivers, and neighbors to come together, share experiences, and learn about local and national resources. Attendees will also receive a complimentary book.

The tour also marks the release of Dads Raising Children with Special Needs & Disabilities: A Guide for 21st Century Dads by David Hirsch, founder of the 21st Century Dads Foundation. The book offers practical guidance and real-world perspective from fathers on similar journeys.
