"Main to Train" Study Public Information Meeting Monday

Post Date:09/26/2018
The Town of Westport will be hosting a public information meeting on Monday, October 1st at 7:00 p.m. in the Westport Town Hall Auditorium to introduce the Westport "Main to Train" Study.

The purpose of this study is to identify improvements to vehicular, bicycle, and pedestrian safety and circulation along Post Road East (Route 1) and Riverside Avenue (Route 33). This will create better connections between the commercial center of town and the Saugatuck train station, and promote non-motorized transportation choices.

An important component of the study process is to conduct outreach to Westport residents, business owners, commuters and other local stakeholders who are concerned about transportation in Westport.

This public information meeting (the first of five that will take place over the course of the study) will provide participants with an opportunity to learn about the study's purpose, schedule, and scope and to share their observations, concerns, and ideas with the project team.
