Westport business owners or aspiring business owners share, learn from, and provide support to each other. First Selectwoman Jen Tooker will lead a discussion celebrating the intersection of Westport's flourishing arts community with our local businesses, a characteristic which makes Westport's local economy quite unique and distinctively attractive. Panelists include: David Waldman, Rick Hoag, and Andrea Pecoriello.The panelists are:

Women's Business Development Council Forum
Watch "The WBDC Women-Owned Business Forum". On March 11, 2021, Second Selectwoman, Jen Tooker, Women's Business Development Council (WBDC) CEO, Fran Pastore, and Business Advisor Sherry Konwerski presented the latest on WBDC’s support for female entrepreneurs and the resources they have available including, how to navigate PPP loans.

The 2020 Season of Westport Means Business panel discussions kicked off January 9, 2020, as Westport Second Selectwoman, Jen Tooker hosted the live panel discussion, "Lessons Learned" at the Westport Library with local business leaders:

“Westport Means Business” is a community-oriented, local business-focused series of events created and hosted by Westport Second Selectwoman, Jen Tooker. As part of the initiative, three live panel discussions are scheduled for 2020 at the Westport Library in January, March and October. The Town of Westport and The Westport Library are co-sponsors of the series.

“Westport Means Business” events create an environment for local Westport business owners or aspiring business owners to share with, learn from and provide support to each other. We are focused on connections, not competition. It is not a platform to promote any one business, but a platform to promote Westport as the best community to start and grow a successful business.
