The Joint Committee is made up of members of the Historic District Commission (HDC) and the Architectural Review Board (ARB) who are appointed by the First Selectwoman.  As of 2022, there are two zoning districts in downtown Westport that require the advisory input of the Joint Committee: Village District Overlay Zone/Westport Center (§36); and Business Center District/Historic (§29A).
