Patrick Riddle Deputy Director

Joining the EMS system in 2002, Deputy Director Patrick Riddle initially served as a volunteer in New City, NY, before becoming a licensed paramedic in 2005 and working in both Newark and Jersey City, NJ. He also worked at Hackensack University Medical Center as a Field Paramedic, Paramedic Field Instructor, and Field Training Officer. It was there in 2008 that he was named "EMS Provider of the Year," receiving three commendations for meritorious service while working alongside the Hackensack Police Department. In 2010, he began a new career with AMR, based in Bridgeport, CT. There, he continued as a Field Training Officer and Paramedic Field Instructor until 2022, when he transitioned to a new position serving as a paramedic for Norwalk Hospital. While working at Norwalk, Riddle discovered Westport's Emergency Medical Services and was immediately drawn to it, pursuing and ultimately accepting a position with the agency as a Paramedic Crew Chief in July of 2024. Patrick was appointed Deputy Director of Westport EMS in October of 2025.
