Westport’s Human Services Director Elaine Daignault has announced that applications for the Renter’s Rebate Program will open on April 1, 2025. The deadline to apply is September 26, 2025.

Eligible residents must have lived in Connecticut for at least one year, be 65 or older or receiving Social Security Disability Income, and have had a 2024 income of $45,200 or less (single) or $55,100 or less (married).

Required Documentation

Applicants must provide proof of:

• 2024 income (tax return, SSA-1099, or other 1099s).
• Disability status (if applicable).
• Utility payments for 2024 (payment records from electric, gas, water, oil, or propane companies).
• Rent payments for 2024 (receipts signed by the landlord, cancelled checks, or a landlord statement).
