Memorial Day Parade Sign-Up

Westport groups, civic organizations and businesses interested in participating in the Memorial Day Parade are invited to complete the form below.
Parade Date: Monday, May 25, 2026
Step-Off Time: 9:00 AM
Location: Riverside Avenue, beginning at Saugatuck Elementary School
Registration Deadline: Sunday, May 17, 2026
All participating groups must register in advance.

Mural Unveiling!

Join us on Saturday, May 23rd for Westport's Kickoff to Summer, featuring the unveiling of a new public mural.

This installation was created in collaboration with artist Luke Bernier, the Westport Arts Advisory Committee, and the Artists Collective of Westport, and celebrates community, creativity, and the start of the summer season.

Animals on Town Athletic Fields, Playgrounds, and Beaches

Per the Westport Parks and Recreation Department Rules and Regulations, animals are prohibited from all athletic fields and playgrounds at any time. Animals are prohibited from town beaches from April 1st through September 30th.

 As always, please be a good neighbor and clean-up after your pet!

Friends of Westport Parks and Rec.
The Friends of Westport Parks and Recreation is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization whose mission is to enhance, preserve, protect and promote the Town of Westport's Parks and Recreation facilities in partnership with the town, for the enjoyment of present and future generations of Westport residents.  The Friends' first project was serving as fiscal sponsor for fundraising for the new Halfway House at the Longshore Golf Course, which was built by a subcommittee of the Longshore Golf Advisory Committee.
The Friends invite applicants from the community for fundraising projects that will enhance our parks and recreational facilities.  To apply, and for more information, please visit www.westportfriendsofparksrec.com
