Summer program offerings are here!

We are excited to see everyone!  We have missed a typically busy spring, but we are back with some fun programs to keep you busy and engaged this summer.  We have our favorite sports clinicstennis instructionjunior golftot n' play group and some new virtual options for tots and teens!

It has been a roller coaster ride of ups and downs, but be assured we are offering programs that follow CDC, state and local protocols to keep everyone safe.  On each program page will be further safety guidance and protocols for your review.  Most importantly, we have reduced group size to keep everyone safe and socially distanced.

We are all in this TOGETHER!  Let's have some FUN!

Program registration is available online!

Whatever you do, don't forget to get out and PLAY!

Westport Protect Yourself sign

First Selectman Jim Marpe said, "Compo Beach and Longshore Park are clearly Westport's most popular outdoor destinations and we are doing everything we can to safely open them for at least limited use.  We will continue to work toward opening other sports and recreation facilities, but will do so cautiously so as not to undo our efforts to combat the virus.  We understand the desire for our residents to get back to some normalcy, especially as the weather gets warmer.  In order to relax our restrictions, we need the cooperation of everyone to adhere to the guidelines so that we can keep the facilities open.  If we don't receive that cooperation, we will have no choice but to re-tighten restrictions for the health and safety of our community."

Aspetuck Land Trust Icon

At this point in time, the Aspetuck Land Trust's 44 trailed preserves in Westport, Easton, Weston and Fairfield are open.  However, due to the recent increase in usage, particularly Trout Brook Valley, the non-profit reminds visitors, for now, to please leave dogs at home.  Unfortunately, they create too many opportunities for close human contact.  Dogs will be welcomed back with their walkers at some future date.  In the meantime, the Aspetuck Land Trust will closely monitor all areas, to make sure there is proper social distancing.
