COVID-19 UPDATES

3/26/20 - SLFU Licenses Affected By Governor Lamont’s Executive Order

3/26/2020 - Westport United PSA #3.

3/23/2020 - Westport United PSA #2.

3/22/2020 - Stay safe, stay home. We are in this together. Westport United. In the upcoming days, we will share more clips.

3/18/2020 - The Westport Police Department has implemented important changes to our current operations in the interest of protecting both the public and our officers from the spread of COVID-19.  Please see our latest press release Westport Police Department to Modify Operations for detailed changes.

3/18/2020 - Effective immediately, fingerprinting services are suspended indefinitely.  Thank you for your cooperation.

3/18/2020 - The station houses located at both the Saugatuck and Greens Farms Railroad Stations in Westport will be closed to the public until further notice. In both cases, this will have no impact on normal railroad operations at these locations. This closure is in response to the current COVID-19 outbreak and is an additional safeguard to keep groups from congregating in close contact. We will announce when they will re-open.

3/16/2020 - There have been reports elsewhere in the country of people posing as personnel from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) going door-to-door, allegedly conducting a Coronavirus survey or investigation. The CDC is not conducting any such investigation and residents should not grant anyone claiming to be a representative from that agency access to their homes.  The town of Westport has not received any complaints of this nature, however the police department wishes to take this opportunity to remind its residents to always be vigilant against potential scams especially in times of localized emergencies.

3/12/2020 - Effective immediately, there will be no pistol permit applications accepted.
