This division ensures that the Westport Police Department maintains the highest possible standards. The Professional Standards Division investigates civilian complaints and oversees the Westport Emergency Medical Services Department and accreditation and training.

Currently, the Professional Standards Division is commanded by Deputy Chief David Wolf.
