Proof of Residency Required

The Town of Westport does not have Municipal Trash or Recycling pick-up.          

Instead, Westport residents are able to dispose of their trash and recycling in either of two ways. 

1. Residents may bring their trash and recycling to the Transfer Station themselves at little to no cost.
2. Residents can contract with a private, licensed hauler to transport their trash and recycling to the transfer station on their behalf. See the link below for a list of refuse haulers licensed in the Town of Westport.

Westport residents are required to show proof of residency to use the Transfer Station or to obtain a WP sticker. A driver’s license or car registration are often used to prove residency, but new residents who may still have licenses or car registrations from out of town, may use a mortgage statement, deed, lease, or utility bill as proof of residency.
