The mission of the Tax Collector's Department is to collect all taxes and other debts owed to the Town of Westport, and to properly account for them in a timely manner.
In addition, the Tax Collector's Department applies all state and local statutes equally, without favoritism or prejudice to its citizens. This high level of integrity instills confidence in the citizens we serve and encourages voluntary compliance.
Attention: There will be an increase in Point & Pay convenience fees beginning 2/3/2026.
Online with E-Check or Credit Card:
Visit www.westportct.gov/paytaxes. The convenience fee for e-checks is $2.00 per transaction total. Payment by credit card includes a $2.50% fee per transaction total. Payment by VISA debit card includes a 1.00% fee per transaction total.
CONVENIENCE FEES
- E-Check (ACH/Bank Account Transfer) - Flat fee of $2.00 per transaction
- Visa Debit Card - 1.00% of the transaction total with a $2.00 minimum fee
- Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express) - 2.50% of the transaction total with a $2 minimum fee
