Westport Police Department
The Westport Police Department provides 24-hour public safety services to those who live, work and visit Westport. The Department works to protect the community through crime prevention, emergency response, traffic safety and community policing. Officers also work closely with residents, businesses, schools and community organizations to address public safety concerns and build strong community partnerships.
Westport Fire Department
The Westport Fire Department protects lives and property throughout the community through emergency response, fire suppression and fire prevention services. Firefighters respond to fires, rescues, hazardous materials incidents and other emergencies while also supporting the Town's emergency management efforts. The Department provides fire safety education, inspections and prevention programs designed to reduce risk and help keep residents, businesses and visitors safe.
Westport Emergency Medical Services (EMS)
Westport EMS provides emergency medical care and ambulance services throughout the Town of Westport. As part of the community's 911 emergency response system, EMS provides both paramedic-level Advanced Life Support and Basic Life Support care. Its emergency medical professionals respond to illnesses, injuries and other medical emergencies while providing critical care and transportation when needed.
Westport Human Services
The Department of Human Services connects Westport residents with programs, assistance and resources that support individuals and families throughout every stage of life. Services include Youth and Family Services, Social Services and programs for older adults and seniors. The Department works with residents, community organizations and other partners to provide support, strengthen families and help community members navigate challenges and available resources.
Westport Public Works Department
The Department of Public Works maintains and improves much of the infrastructure that residents and visitors rely on every day. Its responsibilities include Town roads, sewer infrastructure, municipal facilities, the transfer station and other public assets. Public Works also plans and manages infrastructure improvements that help maintain Westport's transportation network, facilities and essential municipal services.
