Hurricane Home Preparation Guide [PDF]

This document, prepared by the Westport Emergency Management Team, will ensure that you and your family have taken necessary steps to prepare for emergency conditions. 

Hurricane Surge Map [PDF, 9.7 mb]

This map, prepared in 2012 by the National Weather Service, shows areas of Westport most susceptible to flooding. The light green areas are anticipated to experience flooding in a Category 1 hurricane, the dark green in a Category 2 hurricane, and yellow in a Category 3 hurricane.

State emergency managers have told municipalities to plan for Category 3 level flooding and as much as 10 inches of rain with some areas getting higher amounts. Scroll to the right to see the legend.  Zoom in as needed to see your area.
